They are very good and underated but stupid in this instance and you missed The Chameleons off your list :-)
I love this Peel session from them from 1981.

Most underated band ever,never had the luck U2 had,Always loved the bunnymen as for macca he’s a moody fucker met him a few times always had a giggle about footy.
Mark and Lard once said the reason The Bunnymen split up was because U2 had stolen all their songs!
Going to see them at The Bridgwater on this tour.

The Killing Moon - was it wearing a Chelsea top?I have no idea what they are like as individuals but bands like Oasis and The Stone Roses will never make a song as good as “The Killing Moon”.
