(By the way with all the bullsh*t speculation, I'm surprised Arsenal have not been mentioned. This summer they need to spend and Hazard would fit in to their team perfectly. He's basically a more likely to succeed Arshavin. Plus signing a big name could convince VanPersie to stay. Arsenal aren't far off being real challengers - 3 maybe 4 key signings and their squad could be phenomenal - at least as good as United's)
I disagree about Arseanl, I think they are a million miles from being a serious contender. Not sure any defender other than Vermalen is good enough. They have Wilshere and Sagna who seem to be getting serious injuries time after time. Walcott blows hot and cold, AOC is unproven, RVP may be off and if not him and Podolski could be great, but rely too much on them for goals. No midfielder scores enough. People rave about the keeper as well but I'm unconvinced.
When you say 3 or 4 players, they would need tobe all in the £20-£30m bracket and we all know that wont happen.
They are an injury or sale to RVP and Vermalhen away from having a mid table squad - in fact I reckon Liverpool currently have a better squad
Funny how people see the same facts and interpret them so differently. To me and I may be wrong, they have enough money to spend say 100 million this summer. And I think they have a better squad than Liverpool. They have a tremendous reputation to be fair to them so getting players would be much easier than for most clubs. What is holding them back is their reluctance to spend and the message that sends to any potential signings. It's too much of a risk for any incoming player.
Players need to see Arsenal spending big to believe they are a force still but I think if they take the leap they can attract almost anyone.
But these are just my musings :-)
That's the impression I'm getting as well. His agent is playing a canny game as well. The lad will want a cast iron guarantee that he will be a starter, and I'm not sure we'll give him that, with Nasri and Silva on the books. Chelsea could probably guarantee it though, so I'm guessing he'll plump for them, as long as they have the manager sorted.RandomJ said:Am I the only one who thinks he seems like a bit of a prick? He's loving the attention and making clubs jump through hoops for him. Just my impression anyway.
Jumanji said:So there we have it then. His agent says the negotiations are over, and he just needs time to think about his decision.
When the papers released the 200k a week stories, I called bullshit from the start. Funny that people actually believed it.

Chelsea - City - United : Negociations with Hazard are over !
Every propositions are on the table, the best Ligue 1 player is "now thinking", and will make his final choice after his two upcoming matches with Belgium.
We have just contacted his agent, John Bico. He is point-blank :
"One reads many false informations in the papers, it seems very complicated, very long because of the salary issues. It is untrue. We have received the propositions of every club interested, Eden isn't negociating anything anymore because everything is now clear. He just wants a bit more time to make his choice. There will be no try to get higher bids. He will make up his mind after the matches against Montenegro and England, and then he'll go on vacation with an eased mind"
So, Chelsea, United, or its neighbor City ? Answer will be given within two weeks ...
