Could we let Nasri go to United and bring in Hazard instead? I know who i'd rather have....................
I think a big part of the reason Hazard changed his mind about coming to us is that we already have three similar players all vying for the same places that he wants to occupy: Tevez, Nasri and Silva. I think Hazard would probably be better than Tevez and certainly better than Nasri.
Also, Mancini doesnt play wingers which is why AJ and Milner cant get a game. Hazard will be aware of this.
Chelsea and United both have 'vacancies' for that role - which is why he's attracted there, and it could see both clubs changing their respective formations to match ours i.e. 4-2-3-1 and why both have been trying to get the inferior Modric on board too.
You could see Ferguson switching to a 4-2-3-1? Along with Chelseas unnamed tacticless manager?
Doubtful. I don't think people realize how much the media is playin into Hazards mind games. We often blame agents and players for stroking the flames but this would be a lot easier if the fans just took the player for his word. It's not like Hazard dispelling his every notion to the media, and if he did it's not like his agents would be truthful.
It seems smart to me for a player to say hes going to United to grab more money from City's grasp. It also seems smart to include a tertiary buyer so the clubs know if thy both stand firm neither will get him.
Just wait and see. No matter where he goes he will get 35 total games at least in his preferred position. He will play in whatever free role best suits him as Nasri/Silva and even Milner have in the past.
Yes, that's a fair point about them changing their formations - but they haven't had the personnel to do it in the past, plus the 4-2-3-1 formation is proving to be the best.
Strangely, it was a formation invented, i believe, by Brazil.
Perhaps Fergie now thinks wingers makes his side too vulnerable? Certainly, the excellent performance of Young in that role worked for England last night.
I'm not sure about the agents 'trying it on' by offering their man to the highest bidder either - a very risky game to play IF he, hazard, had already made up his mind which he wanted to pick.
It may also come down to Manager's - or lack of them. Given that Chelsea don't have one and United probably wont after next Season. That sort of impending insecurity would play on a youngster's mind too I suppose.
