Man City to Play Lille In Friendly as Part of Move to Sign £28m Playmaker Eden Hazard
Etihad Stadium side close in on Belgian playmaker.
It’s been reported at Inside Futbol that Man City’s forthcoming visit to Lille to take part in a pre-season friendly at the Ligue 1 side’s new stadium is part of a tacit agreement that would see Eden Hazard complete his move to the Etihad Stadium.
Roberto Mancini is just one of many prospective suitors who are keenly monitoring the Belgian international but this latest nugget of information is said to make the Premier League table toppers the front runners in the race to sign the 21 year old playmaker.
The likes of Man United, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been linked with the Lille man who has this season notched up 19 goals and 14 assists.
£28m rated Hazard has made it clear he wishes to leave Lille this summer and having seen his side likely to lose their title to either Montpellier or PSG any chance of a reversal of that decision seems unlikely.
Lille’s new stadium is set to be complete this summer so perhaps Man City could be the first side to take on Rudi Garcia’s side in their new home?
