Veron was an immense player.

Unfortunately, he was in a team that wasn't as intelligent as him so many of his passes never had a runner meeting them.

I saw Veron play for Estudiantes in Argentina a few years back (which is the strongest league outside Europe imo) and he absolutely fucking ran the show. He just wasn't suited to the Prem.
 
If we do get him I'm unsure as to when I'd like it confirmed. We all saw how much the last minute goal utterly destroyed rag hopes. So leaving the announcement as late as possible just to build up their hopes, only to cruelly dash them at the last minute, does have it's appeal.
 
Last day of French Ligue 1 at 8 pm

He'll probably wave and say his goodbyes, but I doubt we'll know where he's going straight after.
 
Probably still recovering after his health scare.

Would you join Man Utd when you don't know who will be their manager in 2 years time. Too much uncertainty there

You bring up a great point but I seriously can't deal with him flirting around with other teams for the next 3 months and the endless speculation that 'Arry will come in with a least-minute bid.
