A deal for Skrtel is in the pipeline...talks have begun at a very early stage (as I posted a while back)
As with Nasri, a different source confirmed he was having a medical at the Bridgewater 2 weeks before the transfer was complete
In regards to Hazard, read above...

I don't tell anybody nothing. I am just reacting to all people shitting on Eden Hazard without knowing anything about the player and his personnality.
If anything, they are the ones telling us what to think.

I don't know if you realise how infantile most of the posts are on this thread.

Saying that City fans "don't deserve" Hazard and tat you'd prefer him elsewhere is infantile and rude. You have an opinion on Hazard. Some people do not share that opinion for various reasons such as a question mark of the strength of the league, his attitude as portrayed in the media and his comparative talent to other players in a similar position. These are all legitimate concerns in a transfer and just because you cannot express disagreement in any other way, we will not tolerate you coming on a City forum and disrespecting our club and our fans, which your comment was.

Ok my post was a bit agressive. But if you check my oldest messages, you will see that i've spent 2 hours on this forum last night arguing politely and respectfully with some guy who just wouldn't accept the fact that his opinion of Hazard, based on what he read about him in the press, is wrong.
But when i saw all this argument has been useless and soon swallowed in the depth of thread, to make rooms for more crappy posts about Hazard, i just lost it.

You say you have still reasons to be doubtful, such as the strength of the league or his attitude portrayed in the media. Then you should be glad that someone like me, who know both the league and the guy way better than all of you, will come and ease your doubts on such concerns. I don't care how the press displays him. I know the guy, and he is NOT what you say he is.
But who cares, i won't be listened to, it seems like people here would rather spit on the guy until it's not sure he comes to City. Even if it means listening blindly to the press and all the haters instead of listening to people that know what they're talking about.

IMO I haven't been disrecpectful of the club, maybe of the fans but only those who judge a player without knowing anything about the guy. And I would have been the same with anybody behaving like such spoiled brats, City fans or whatever.
You have come onto the forum claiming to "...know the guy way better than all of you..." Interesting. Care to back this up with some credentials, mon brave? Or is it simply you are a Lille supporter and have watched him this season?

Other posters have questioned the strength of Ligue 1 as Lille finished bottom of their Champions League Group, Lyon were knter stages (knocked out by Bayern in QFs). In the Europa League, Sochaux were out in the qualifiers and Rennes finished bottom of their group and PSG finished 2nd bottom of their group.

Stadiums are seemingly rarely full. Average attanedances show that overall stadia are about 66% - 75% full each game which suggests the French public have voted with their feet. For the record Lille holds circa 18,000 and have been getting 17,000 which is great, however Montpellier holds 33,000 and have been getting 17,500 despite winning it this season.

Based on that, and as we don't get a huge amount of Ligue 1 coverage in the UK, you can understand some of the assumptiona. Add into the mix that French clubs, even the top ones, seem to sell their top talent to Italy, Germany, Spain and England, you again can see why posters would react that way.

Appreciably, it may appear arrogant to hold those views without more knowledge, but as I say, understandabe nonetheless, n'est pas?

Hazard only has to see how his fellow Belgian Lukaku has been treated at Chelsea to gauge false promises.

Goes for Torres, too.

You're talking bollocks.

Lukaku is 19, far from finished article and he knew he'll have to bide his time to become a regular at Chelsea, having the likes of Drogba in front of him. He loves the club and is happy there.

Torres' biggest problem is his own poor performances over the last two seasons, it has nothing to do with Chelsea.

If Hazard's priority is guaranteed starting spot and playing time, he'll join Chelsea. If it's money he'll go to City. I'm not sure why United are even in the mix, they're overstocked in the wingers' department.

United are in it because they are scrambling after not winning a significant trophy for once. Ferguson is scared and he should be.

21 goals in an inferior league with a handful of assists and now everyone is fighting for him? Hope he lives up to the expectation because the PL is a very cruel. Many have tried and failed.

It's a defence mechanism for many fans. They say they don't want a player so that if he doesn't come, they don't look like a fool. Either way, you had an argument with one or two on the forum and tarred all fans with the same brush, which is the exact thing that you are trying to stop others doing. You ask us to trust your opinion but you are brand new on here and we don't yet know you to believe what you are saying is reality.

I have a pretty simple opinion on Hazard. I haven't watched him in enough 90 minute games to judge his talent. From the highlight reels, I notice that his technique when turning and when bending a ball are very unique, which I always take as a positive. I don't know the guy to speak of his attitude and knowing how the press and agents work, I don't believe half of what I read. People on here should know better, especially as we have the same problem in the press with Balotelli.

If his talent is as good as I have heard from others, then I'd very much like him at our club and I'm excited at the prospect of watching him play regularly and watching the behind the scenes videos that our official site provides. Fans get a real sense of what they are like as people, and it's a good thing.

I think the French league is a very good one as the exported talent has shown, and his stats are exception no matter what league he is in. The Lille fans certainly liked him.

We all want this finished sooner rather than later, because we have had transfers dragged out in the past two seasons which have cost us other targets. We want Hazard here and are excited about his talents but as a club, with FFP coming, we cannot afford to wait until after the Euros when players will be more expensive

Very true, apart from one thing which is that Belgium didn't qualify for Euro 2012 so Hazard won't be playing and increasing his price. But I agree, if this is going to happen we should try and finalise it asap.
