Eden Hazard

If he is so perfect as a false 9 why has he always been dreadful when he's played there for chelsea?

Playing as a false 9 for Conte and playing as a false 9 for Pep Guardiola are different things. Strange that you are using that to judge him. Messi would struggle if he is isolated between the lines and has no passing options and receives long balls with no ball to feet.

Where was Hazard receiveing the ball? how was he receiving the ball? Was he creating overloads? Was he facing his goal or the opposition goal? Did he have players stretching the pitch horizontally for him to drive into?

Like Sanchez & Isco, Hazard is just one of those 'nearly' Manchester City players who I fear will never be destined to pull on our shirt as a player after we came so close to signing them in the past.

Chelsea sold Matic & Mata to ManUre, but those players were considered as being sellable. Hazard is their most iconic player, so no way could I see them selling him (unless they got Messi as a replacement), especially to City.

I’m tempted to believe this.

If Chelsea were playing a in big game against a team the media loves this weekend then I’d say the speculation about their best attacker being unsettled and linked with a rival was bullshWAIT A MINUTE.

Pretty darn hilarious how people think Hazard is going to bring his complete Chelsea self, whatever that is, to City and stick to it, thereby not integrating well.

He's a grown millionaire who is going to adjust like every other player in our current squad have. Hazard is not half as egotistical as some of the egomaniacs that Pep has managed in his career. He'll be fine at City.

If you think he's the type to rotten the place up, read his recent comments on saying that he's not 'selfish enough to win the Ballon D'Or'. That doesn't half sound like a narcissistic prick who'll supposedly throw all kinds of fits at the club and ruin everything.
Exactly. And if he were such a bad apple, we would not be touching him with a bargepole

If anyone thinks City will spend the type of money Chelsea want on one player well there living in cloud cuckoo land, Pep will spend no more than £100m this summer on 2 players.

I agree but probably a net spend offset by sales. I reckon to first teamers and a younger player or two. 8 or 9 sales including the likes of Angelino, Mangala etc.

That’s the official line being spun. We’re unlikely to give potential vendors the impression that we’re minted and money’s no object.
If an opportunity arises to upgrade the squad at a good price I think Pep’s statement might easily be revised.

on the one side he is a fantastic player, one of those players that if he is available you the to go for......

on the other side, do we need him...ew have silva, KDB Bernardo sane and sterling all attacking from midfield/outwide....i suppose he would play from the left from us which gives us options with Sane.

my only worry is that he is poison in the dressing room...he has always struck me that he is capable of that....Pep talks a lot about the personality of the players, their temperament not just on the pitch but off it, their willingness to be humble and run for the team no matter who you are.....Hazard doesn't strike me as that type of person....

Did Sane track back before? Did Aguero? Did David Silva? How can you just completely disregard the changes big players have made in our team under Pep? Why is it so hard to get that Hazard is fully capable of changing once he's at City lol? You talk as if he's a player on Fifa who'll never change from what he is at Chelsea.

Mate I'm sorry but the whole reason you think Hazard will be great for us is because you think he'll be a completely different player under pep, that pep will change all the shite parts of his game. You don't buy a player because you think you can change him. Maybe if he's a reasonable price but I don't see this club blowing 150 million on a guy who has so many flaws.

How can you possibly use anything else to judge someone but their previous performance in a role?
