Ederson - 2019/20 Performances

Ederson is well on his way to being the best sweeper keeper since Lev Yashin.

I cannot think of a keeper whose distribution was / is better.

I could name plenty that I think were better shot stoppers but Eddie does not get asked to make enough diving saves to make a thorough assessment of him in that department.

What is abundantly clear is he is the best keeper for this City team. A team that I hope will eventually be seen as one of the best in the history of the sport; if that happens, and I am optimistic on that front, Ederson will have been a fundamental component.

OOOOOOOHHHH; THAT'S A BINGO!

I prefer listening to Gary Neville to be honest. Hinchcliffe is dire to listen to and is always quick to criticise. It's painful listening.
To be fair there are some City fans on the match day thread, who offer the same 'look for any negative and focus on that' outlook during every City match. Maybe he is just from that school of thought.

I still don't like listening to his commentary though.

It's a pretty dire indictment when City fans would rather listen to Gary Neville!

I agree. Pretty much any free kick, hit with that pace, and hitting the woodwork in the top corner, I think is pretty much unsaveable, by any keeper. Sometimes you just have to say "OK well played, fantastic shot".

Now whether it was a free kick in the first place? Hmmmmmm....

Hard to get away with a challenge like that these days but I thought the award was harsh. At that stage in the game though he should not have taken the risk and should just have made sure the striker couldn't turn.

He's become a bit of a twat where City are concerned. Not sure why though .
I mentioned on the match thread yesterday,i think he's just bitter because he missed the boat.

Irrespective of the reason, fuck him.....but as an alleged professional pundit, getting basic facts right is your bread and butter.

Now, this City team is full of characters, and the individual skills of David Silva, Bernado etc;
are a joy, as are Sergio's blistering performances, and De Bruyne's brilliance but this goalkeeper is probably my favourite Manchester City player. I've never, in my life, seen anyone like him, he is this epitome of cool,
can dribble with heart stopping arrogance past the world's best attackers, can launch a pass 75 yards to a flying winger, where it lands directly at his feet, is brave as a lion, thinks nothing of throwing himself at feet,
and is generally hard as fuck.
