Recent evidence would suggest different, and our boy makes Alissons distribution look amateur.

I'm fairly certain we got the right one,and for half the price :-)

Ederson is well on his way to being the best sweeper keeper since Lev Yashin.

I cannot think of a keeper whose distribution was / is better.

I could name plenty that I think were better shot stoppers but Eddie does not get asked to make enough diving saves to make a thorough assessment of him in that department.

What is abundantly clear is he is the best keeper for this City team. A team that I hope will eventually be seen as one of the best in the history of the sport; if that happens, and I am optimistic on that front, Ederson will have been a fundamental component.

I'm fairly certain we wouldn't be half as fluent or dominant if Hart(even at his best) was still here, which speaks volumes about Eddie's impact, suitability and abilities.

very good except the late challenge and that the free kick went in on "his" side. top 3 gk all around and miles better than any other keeper in the footballing department.

Don't think anyone would have saved that free kick. Eddie does move a touch to the wrong side but even if he had guessed correctly that ball went in off the post and was struck with pace.

To be honest, Alisson's distribution is totally unimpressive anyway.

He plays the role well but his actual ability on the ball I wouldn't put on Bravo's level. His passes into midfield are really dodgy at times.

Are you sure about that, he's a member of the " European royalty " ?

I agree. Pretty much any free kick, hit with that pace, and hitting the woodwork in the top corner, I think is pretty much unsaveable, by any keeper. Sometimes you just have to say "OK well played, fantastic shot".

Now whether it was a free kick in the first place? Hmmmmmm....
