Ederson has always been extremely aggressive coming off his line for the ball - often this works out; sometimes he's very exposed. It's part of the Ederson package.
For me, in spite of the occasional postmortem mistake, I think that Ederson is the best keeper in the world for our system.
For the occasional mistake in charging out of goal when not warranted, there's innumerable deft passes to help us play from the back and the occasional very long ball to spring a surprise goal for unprepared sides, or to back defenders far towards their own goal making our advance much easier.

I do agree though that our inability to consistently defend against balls over the top of our high line much increases the risk of an Ederson error - but for me, that's the fault of not having pacy centerbacks (mostly) and for not putting enough pressure on the ball (sometimes).
Management will sort this out next season.
