Unbelievable how people quickly forget he had an amazing double save just last week

Its always been thus. You're only as good as your last game and all that. Should have stopped that first yesterday though. That was poor.

A striker cannot score every goal and a goalkeeper cannot save every shot. He might've let a stupid one there but he saved many sitter before too, it all evens out in the end.

As brilliant as he is, he should still work on his shot-stopping.

Are we just going to ignore that fuck awful positioning that allowed Lamela to pass the ball into the net from 20 yards?

His positioning was terrible, if he was positioned correctly he would have saved it but his distribution was incredible.

For the goal we conceded, Vinnie would have won that header! That certainly wasn't his fault

He is absolutely integral to the way we play. Without him we wouldn’t have achieved what we did over the last two seasons. Is there another goalkeeper in the world we would want instead of him? He is one of our top two or three players. He made a blunder for the first goal. So what?

Every goalkeeper makes blunders here and there, it doesn't mean they aren't very talented shot stoppers.

As talented as he is, I think he could still do better in terms of shot-stopping. Any player can improve with hard work.

We are awful at defending high balls into the box and I would expect him to dominate the aerial threat better than he does. Yes he needs to work on his positioning as well.

He's pretty average at anything fast and high to the box. For such a big lad who plays the rest of his game on a front foot, he should do much better there. Great at picking long through balls, but pretty much any good cross inside and he doesn't move a finger.
