I think it's difficult to compare Ederson and De Gea. Things aren't always black and white, there are very few premier league teams who would pick Ederson over De Gea if there was a draft pick. We would pick Ederson every time over De Gea, because his strengths play to our strengths.

Absolutely, trouble is there only 4 teams in the league who do want to play that way.

Ederson has it all. I’m not sure the same can be said for De Gea.
Imo he was at fault for both Leicester’s goals last night by not coming out and commanding his box.
Ederson all day long for me and the rest of the Premierleague will soon see the light.

Don't get me wrong, I would pick Ederson over De Gea for us. I fully understand there is a lot more to goalkeeping than saves, hence my sustained criticism of Hart for years. But Ederson would be wasted in most teams, and for almost all teams in the bottom half of the league De Gea would be the better option. That's not to say I think he's a better keeper... I think they have different strengths.
