I'll wait until he's played a few competitive games for us until I start judging.
Never heard of him before but Jamie Jackson looks like a right little smug turd. Another Rag no doubt.
Yes, the weirdest thing in all this is that he is emplyed by The Guardian, who to be fair generally have a solid core of footy writers. Jamie Jackson would stand out as a shit journalist even in the Daily Mail.100%, although I think he claims to be a Forest fan officially. He wrote a book all about a year of David Moyes's time in charge of them and writes loads of articles about united on pre-season, sometimes more than one article about a single friendly game. He also writes our match reports and has been know to spend 70+% of the article talking about our opposition (who lost) and then cramming 2 goals for us into a few lines at the end.
He's obviously biased but that alone would be easier to stomach if he wasn't genuinely a shit writer. I can only imagine that the Guardian pay him in Subway vouchers and let him have a press pass so he can watch united for free. Anymore than that would be scandalous.
It was a friendly. The best time to test the water if coming out of the box is the best idea. I won't hold that against him.
His shot stopping, several of which were world class, and anticipation of shot placement are brilliant. He's not big, but his quick reflexes make up for his height and reach. Also comes out for crosses.
That's Daniel Taylor who is a "Forest fan". Jackson is an out and out rag I think100%, although I think he claims to be a Forest fan officially. I hope he doesn't dial it in. Its part of his game. Here is hoping the next 4=5 times he does it , it saves ah. And perhaps fans have the common sense to understand it's a net positive , even if every once in a while he loses those battles. He's not going to stop coming out for the ball like that, if we didn't want a goalkeeper who came out of his box to sweep up we wouldn't have got the most extravagant sweeper keeper on the market.
He'll dial it in, learn when to come out and when to stay, read when he needs to come out better because last night Kompany and Tosin could have covered, but he's not going to stop it and it would be insane to buy him and expect him not to be the player we bought.

I personally like gladiators. I like .people who take great risks in search of glory and live with the consequences. Way better than neophytes who die a slow death daily put of fear of mptaking the big mistake.
Fortune favors the bold. Ederson is bold. Me likes that. :)
Interesting ... Always tot the phrase meant to back of or do something less. I must admit I understood being "dialed in" to mean being on the zone.dial-it-in. Verb. (third-person singular simple present dials it in, present participle dialing it in, simple past and past participle dialed it in) To set up in a perfect or complete way.
By dial it in I mean get more accurate, learn where his boundaries for coming out or staying are with our defensive line Xm away, get used to the speed of his new teammates covering etc, not stop doing it or do it less.
