Incredibly excited for this lad. He has a big presence - just out of interest I don't think he is a 6ft 4 type of keeper. Hard to tell but I am guessing more like 6ft 2?

The one drawback that Ederson has is that he's a bit too eager to come out of his box - charging even out of the penalty area at times when staying put may have been a better idea. But so far, that's happened only once (first game) - whereas his aggressiveness has paid dividends otherwise.

I would actually say that this is his big positive, we are stopping a lot of one one ones due to this. If he wouldnt take the risk Mane would have scored and the same can be said about 3-4 situations. He has great acceleration. I have noticed in the past 2-3 matches that even thought he might react a second or two late and I wouldn't fancy him getting there he does. He will make an error once but I think it will easily outweight the 1-1s we concede being an attacking team.

Also I understand what you are saying, I think it was the Palace or Watford game where he came out and was caught in no mans land, luckily the attacker only hit the side netting(partly due to him making himself big).

I agree. It's a risk but it's definitely a positive for me and not a detremit. I'm not sure you can perfect the range as far as when it's correct or when it's not to rush out but his decision making when coming out is definitely a positive overall gain I think.

Also, love this guy.

Stephen Tudor, (is that lucky Toma on here?) Has written a quite superb piece on this lad. It hasn't escaped my attention how much better both Stones and Otta have looked with him behind em, he's brave decisive and can actually stop a shot. I worshipped Joe but I can see in five years time or so me saying Joe who. I'm loathed to be so effusive after so few games but in Ed i think we have a player that will in a decade be talked about in the same sentences as Buffon and that Danish twat.

He'll definitely get a chance to show how good he is today
