Agree with everything the OP said. When we were in for him, I looked at his video. Not always reliable, but it was awesome. Apart from sweeper keeper skills, he looked really brave and positive on crosses. It's all true, a really great keeper who fills defenders with confidence so they play so much better. Like everything City at the moment, I have to keep pinching myself. We are fucking awesome.
Pity pep is such a fraud.

This is not a go at Eddie, but has he really been tested yet ? The pundits bang on about our suspect defence (yawn) but Eddie hasn't had that much to do, even today.
Of course he has. The defence play the ball back to him as if he is another outfield player in the confidence that he will play it out like one. He is an integral part of everything we do, so yes, he is tested as much as every other defender. And when he has to make saves, he has. And when he has to come and collect crosses, he does it solidly and without drama. He has been tested, proven, and found reliable

For his age his ability to be so calm is quite outstanding. Signing of the summer.

I love him.

Big, strong, quick, brave, calm, decisive, stands tall, commands his area, throws out well, can boot it miles and only 24! What's not to like?

His influence on the whole team is clear to see.

Hallelujah!

You might be able to say his shot stopping hasn't been massively tested yet, but he's made a save almost every time he's been asked to. What goals has he let in this season? He possibly could have done a little better with Rooney's goal, but Bournemouth scored probably one of the goals of the season, and Bravo played in the only other game we conceded a goal in. I don't remember much in the way of dodgy moments either. He decision to come out has almost always been correct, he collects balls from set pieces well, and his ability to start a counter-attack is probably better than any other GK in the league.

I think quite a few managers will be kicking themselves for giving us a free run at his transfer. The price tag helped with that but he was also more than worth it, I'm sure they'll agree now.

He has been really solid. All the signings this summer have looked great, but considering his age and how important his position is, he has definitely been the most important one.

Best goalie in the Prem, people around me were panicking, I reassured them, " Don't forget they've got to get past Eddie's son yet " !

That reminds me of years ago when I'd been trying to sell my rust bucket Alfa Romeo for fcukin ages. So we go out, leaving Lady Bacon's gran to babysit, and someone rings to enquire about the Alfasud. "Alfie's son?" says grandma; "No, he doesn't live here" and promptly puts the phone down. No sale... :-(

True story dat.

He's magnificent. Sure he hasn't been tested that much, but then again, most goalies are fairly decent shot stoppers. We need someone who can do everything else. His distribution and the decisiveness he shows coming off his line is a huge advantage to us. Feel like we've really lucked out.
