There will be times where Ederson will have more dips form and the question is can he handle that? This is first full season as Benfica's first choice after taking over from one of the best modern keepers in Julio Cesar.

Despite showing promise he is still an inexperienced keeper with a huge price tag hanging over his head.

He was first choice at Rio Ave, was the main reason they were in the top half of the table then.If there was a choice between Pickford and Ederson I would pick Ederson (going from what I have seen from both keepers). My only doubt is the fee and this is the first full season as a first choice keeper.
He's played 150 games, won 2 league titles, won a cup final, played in the CL knockouts stages. Not sure how much more experienced a keeper can be at 23 to be honest.Despite showing promise he is still an inexperienced keeper.

No, he doesn't. He might not have hit his peak as a keeper but he's hardly some over hyped wet behind the ears keeper who's played 15-20 games for relegation fodder but made a couple of Hollywood saves.Still has got some way to go.

Don't get me wrong I do favour Ederson as a City signing but he is still some way to go to become well established amongst the top keepers in Europe. As all the top keepers had done in their careers, they have experience major dips in form.
