I'm sure eddy will go on to smash all records as a keeper at city but at the moment Joe gets my vote and thanks for being there when it all began
Peak Hart shits all over Ederson in terms of ‘saves’.
Imo Ederson is pretty average when using that criteria.
However, he is exceptional as a ‘keeper sweeper’ and with his distribution. 2 things Hart was average at.
Ederson ‘fits’ this team, and Pep’s style much, much better.
But if I needed a goalkeeper to ‘save’ something it’d be peak Hart every time.
Good summary. Peak Hart was incredible as a shot stopper and one of the best there’s been at one on one. Barcelona away 1-0 loss and spurs away 0-0 (I think) were his stand out games. In the first he single handedly kept Messi out half a dozen times. Could have been a cricket score. The latter he made 4 or 5 full length Worldy saves.
Ederson is just cool as fuck.
Joe was immense back in the day and before most keepers reach their peak. He hit a bit of a downward spiral a few years back and his limitations are now there for all to see. Ed and old joe are neck and neck except off the ground and thats the key these days.Good summary. Peak Hart was incredible as a shot stopper and one of the best there’s been at one on one.
