Ederson or Ortega if it goes to penalties?

Has Ederson ever saved a penalty, Ortega would do no worse so yeah I'd make that tactical substitution if it comes to that
I seem to remember Ederson making a great save at Palace in 17/18 to keep our unbeaten run going.

I dont think we could make a decision like this purely based on penalty save ratios. They‘d have to have a good look at the penalties they’ve faced and decide how many that they failed to save were saveable or unstoppable, how many that they saved were badly struck or telegraphed. There’s a fair degree of luck involved. Unless it could be shown that Ederson keeps failing to save “easy” penalties then leave Ortega on the bench

There's nothing worse that bringing a penalty specialist on. Puts so much pressure on that it basically guarantees they'll not save one. Did you not see when Chelsea did it?

And a shithouse move to sub out your first keeper and who got you there in the competion , luckily pep would not ever do it , destroy eddie for the chance of a trophy , nope
It's not a shithouse move, any more than it would be taking off an outfield player for a better penalty taker.

Not the same with keepers or everyone would do it routinely
Plenty do it. Not as often as subbing off outfield players, but then again there's 10 outfield players to choose from but only one goalkeeper.

I thought no one is bigger than the club?

It's not a shithouse move but just another substitution to improve your chances to win. Pep's decision alone.

For me it's not even a question if 115 minutes were over:

Eddie moves far too early. Always.
Ortega it is. The German who came from Arminia Bielefeld to become a pain in Real's club history ;)

That said, we'll get it done earlier, me hopes.
