BBC said he had his foot on ice after the game, anyone know more? Hope it's not serious, can't see Sergio having 90m in his legs 8 days from now.
He said he got kicked in the first 5 mins. "No big deal" were his words.
Good good, cheers.

Re: Edin Dzeko

Much better today, he led the line really well and seemed to have a tad more pace about him.

Hope he keeps it up.

Proper battering ram centre forward performance from him today, great flick for Dave's goal, great hold up play, all he was missing was a goal himself and if he keeps playing like that once things have sharpened up behind him he won't be lacking for those.
Looks like he's gained half a yard of pace over the summer as well, sprint training? Very impressed.

As not one of his biggest fans, but certainly NOT a hater,I was impressed with both his work ethic and bringing other players into the game, something which he has lacked in the past.
Now,if he can maintain this sort of effort on a constant basis and not when he feels like it,then i would be more than happy to hear Dzeko say to me "Fuck Off Oakie,I`ve proved you wrong".
However the old adage "one swallow doesn`t make a summer" springs to mind,so bearing that in mind I`ll wait for now.
Well played today though son.

Re: Edin Dzeko

I think he's made for City - scores goals consistently with left & right foot plus headers, sets up goals. Brilliant ! On the other hand he can look a right stump occasionally, making Tony Cunningham & Trevor Christie look like Aguero!

Love Dzeko.

I hope to god he keeps it up, he's a world beater with that effort.

The one thing that has surprised me,both today and last week, was his sudden turn of pace !! Where the fuck has that come from ??

Re: Edin Dzeko

Looked much fitter and stronger than normal. I've not been his greatest fan tbh. If he carries on like today I think I'll have eat my words.

It's mostly over the first 4-5 yards (he's always been quick enough once into his stride) , so I reckon he's been doing sprint training, optimising his start and building leg strength. Maybe dropped a few pounds as well which gives you less weight to push on the same muscle.

Re: Edin Dzeko

Great performance from Dzeko today. As someone who gave him plenty of criticism during the first half of last season I want to give him credit where it's due. Probably MOTM.

Re: Edin Dzeko

great performance from Edin

key player this season with the others being injury prone or jovetic

Re: Edin Dzeko

Looks a different player has pace and a nice touch but more than anything his hold up play has improved beyond belief and is really looking a top centre forward

Re: Edin Dzeko

Played very well today. It's the best I have seen him play. Hopefully this kind of performance will continue.

I like you sir have criticized him on many occasions, and I also want to show credit where credit is due. Well done Edin lad keep up the good work you were fantastic today and you thoroughly deserved your man of the match award.

Re: Edin Dzeko

Usually of the opinion he's a great finisher and wank at everything else. Today his hold up play was superb. Hope it's something he's worked in and is here to stay. Well done Edin
