Leith Fort was knocked down a couple of years back.

But go to Leith and drink in Vintage and the Malt & Hops among other things. Or the Hanging Bat in town.

Pah, bloody gentrification gets everywhere! I once had a crazy 'lost weekend' (that actually lasted about a week), staying with a lass called Roxy in Leith Fort. I would say happy memories, but I'm not really sure if they are!

I think the Stage Door is now the Theatre Royal next door to the Playhouse
Rose Street and Grassmarket are best for pub crawls but maybe better finding a pub for the football and staying there?
Scott's in Rose Street shows football and is £2.50 a pint Sunday to Wed ( some beers anyway )
Berts do great pies ... £5 for a pint and pie when live games are on!
food wise lots of great Indians .. Kushis,Mother India and Kismot

Cheers everyone. Made it as far as the Royal Mile so had a bite and done scoops in a tourist trap. Reasonably priced though. Will have more of a wander tonight hopefully but might only make it as far as 7 Sisters Pub as that looks sports bar and I want to see the rags get fucked :))

Went in one called The Black Bull last October, in Grassmarket. Decent steak, plenty of ales. It had Sky Sports as well.
