Why is that fella wearing a babies bib?

Probs not learnt to feed himself yet

Rascal, one doesn't eat lobster without taking the necessary precautions. He could have stained his chiffon

If I (god forbid) were a victim of any sort of terrorist I don't want these fucking morons anywhere anything to do with me. Who do they think they are 'defending england'?

I want England 'defended' from brain-dead thugs like these. Like someone said if they want to 'defend' us joined the armed forces or make a (sensible) politcal party. Don't use terrible events to your own gain. They are nothing more than pissed-up little englanders who like a punch up.

Yes, of course there are hate preachers and people who would gladly see Britain wiped off the earth but the majortity don't and the majority of us life in relative peace and harmony. The last thing this country needs is people falling for and believing in this EDL shit!

Saw a thirteen year old like a page of theirs on Facebook. That's what worries me most. Young kids growing up thinking these EDL scumbags are there to be looked up to. They are poisonous bastards.

Works both ways too, but in a different way.

A few posts I wanted to make to counter the hatred of both the Islamic fundementalists and the EDL.

These were some young lads that did a whip round at their local mosque to buy some flowers which they laid at the memorial site for Lee Rigby.

The EDL turn up at a Mosque in York, and the people at the mosque invite them in for tea, biscuits and a game of football.

a couple of EDL members make nazi salutes in London. Leaders of the EDL are quick to ensure that the actions of these two doesn't result in the EDL all being tarnished with the same brush. You couldn't make it up could you!

Video of the guy at EDL rally doing nazi salutes next to the war memorial. Stay classy.

Excellent. A point worth considering is that churches, cathedrals etc are perceived as being mostly open for all to visit but that mosques aren't. We all know what the inside of a church is like but not a mosque - more stuff like this would open doors, literally, and bring people together, increase familiarity etc.

I agree. I also want more ordinary Muslims being given voices in the national media rather than fundamentalists.

Again I totally agree - I think there has been more interviews with/quotes from the mainstream since the dreadful killing last week, bloke from the Quilliam Foundation on Question Time etc, lets hope it's the start of a picture that the huge majority of all faiths buy into our tolerant society and that nutters from both sides of the spectrum are just that - nutters.

For those asking why people don't like the EDL and why people think they are racist, here is a link to a page highlighting their links/conversations on social media networks with White Pride organisations, Combat 18, Blood and Honour, NF, etc.

I don't think many people on here are EDL supporters.

But there are so many threads about them here.

Soldier gets beheaded in public.

Let's deflect and point a finger at the EDL citing them as "AS BAD IF NOT WORSE".

It's lazy and predictable.

indeed

except how can they be as bad or worse when they don't kill and behead people in the street, or blow them up on public transport, or plot to bring down planes or attempt to blow up people engaging in their democratic right to protest etc etc

they are not even in the same league as the murdering jihadist scum

Can I just ask why the EDL are given so much publicity?

So a thousand, yes 1,000 people out of a population of 50 million +, turned out on their march/protest, the second coming of the Nuremberg rallies it is NOT!! Yet people are acting as though they're about to plunge the Country into a Civil war, muslim against non muslim. I think things need to be put into perspective.

This is a strange viewpoint. People shouldn't be allowed to point out that a certain group of people are a bunch of cunts because they are not the worst bunch of cunts around?

There were 80 odd pages last time I looked on the Woolwich incident thread. Along with numerous deleted threads. I've not read every post but I haven't seen a single one that had anything but disgust about what happened.

Should the most serious item of news be declared at the start of each week and nothing else be allowed to be discussed out of respect to the seriousness of it?
