Not the first time, won't be the last either. Just had a look into that Alan Spence chap. It's literally a CV of scumminess; Blood and Honour, BNP candidate, imprisoned for attacks on left-wing meetings. Tommy Robinson thinks that guy should represent a quarter of his organisation; the entire North East region? Says a lot about Tommy Robinson that he doesn't bat an eyelid at putting a racist fascist in one of his top level positions.

Tommy "Stephen Lennon" Robinson has also been in prison for 12 months for assaulting police officers who intervened when he was hitting his girlfriend.

There have been a number of former service officers on twitter saying they are against the EDL, they have unfortunately had a lot of abuse sent to them by EDL members.

If you read some of the EDL sites, it really is scary how many of them see themselves as patriots and crusaders.

If they really wanted to 'protect the country', they'd join the army as opposed to throwing stones at the police, making Nazi salutes and singing songs.

It's laughable that anyone can even attempt to begin to defend or justify the EDL.
