Just because UAF are involved in the counter-protests doesn't mean that everyone in the counter-protest is in UAF, maybe they just don't agree to the sentiments of racial hate that the EDL are plugging, and may not have any sympathy towards Muslim extremists.
Also the EDL claim not to be racist, but quite a number of them are neo-nazi's, been photographed with swastikas or Nazi paraphernalia, and believe all Muslims are extremists, and that everyone in Britain has to be Christian.

I am far more concerned about the small minority of muslim extremists who have already mass murdered for their 'cause' and who, judging by the many arrests, are always aiming to murder more......and those other muslims who passively (or otherwise) support these extremists, than I am about a bunch of nobhead NF/BNP wannabees whose crimes of aggressive chanting and marching pale by comparison.
The EDL are a bunch of ex football hooligans jumping on a new violent gang mentality band wagon now their 1980's heyday has long since passed. The feebleminded younger members are merely following in their fathers tradition of hunting in packs on a Saturday afternoon piss up in search of a quick fix of adrenalin fuelled violence.
UAF are a bunch of middle class ex students who graduated but never made a positive impact on society and still long for the halcyon days of the student union and Saturday afternoon demo's against whatever the trendy news issue of the day is. They should accept they can't change the world by reading the guardian and quoting the great philosophers to each other over a bree and cranberry sandwich made on fair trade bread and try to realise their university debating days have long since passed them by.
The Islamic millitants need to go to their mother countries and help the 'cause' in any way they see fit. There they can enjoy the fruits of sharia law and burn as many flags and ephigys as they like. If they hate the west so much please get a passport for your ancestors country I'm sure you will qualify and live there we aren't bothered and we won't miss you.
All three of these groups are made up of people who have big wholes in their life and try to fill it with this bull shit. In that sense they are all the same it just depends on the circumstances of their birth as to which group the individual moronic idiot chooses to join.

But how many actual islamic extremists are there in Britain? Probably not many actual extremists, theres only 2 million muslims. How much mainstream muslim support do islamic extremists in the UK get? I can't think of any mainstream muslim group which support islamic extremists. I've never once met an actual islamic extremist, despite living in an area with lots of muslims and going to school with a lot of muslims. The only extreme thing any muslim did was support the scum. Theyre actually a pretty obedient, normal boring community.
Compared with other types of extremism in the UK, islamic extremism I think pales in insignificance. That's what makes me think the EDL are a bunch of scared stupid racists. With very little justification for what theyre doing.

I take what you say about a normal boring community, most I have met fall into this category. However, I can't agree with the statement you make about Islamic extremism paling into insignificance compared to other types. So far, Islamist exremists have been responsible for murder on an unprecedented scale not seen since the dark days of the IRA and therefore are the constant focus of attention from MI6. So far, we hav'nt been bombed by the EDL, UAF or any other similar nutjob lunatic factions.
Constant vigilance by the security forces has also prevented other outrages by Islamic fundamentalists and to suggest they are no more dangerous than other groups is not born out by facts.
