To be honest, I thought Chelsea are better team. They have more talent.

Where were the local lads though?

They seemed to have a few Birtish lads but most were foreign, at least we had a good set of local lads on show which is what academy football is all about surely?

I think in the long run our academy will serve us better than Chelsea's will do for them.

Local lads are what academy is about at lower levels than City are now tbh, that's why we are acquiring young players from all over the world. And best players at City from what I've seen tonight (my first U21 game) were imports.

If I'm being critical our crossing and set-pieces were poor tonight, just the one good cross I can recall that Bytyqi should have buried in the first half.

Definitely, Lopes, Fofana, Ambrose and Angelino all look highly promising

Those are the stand outs for sure, the rest have very little chance of making it with us in my opinion.

- I like Glendon but due to his position he will need years of experience before he will get game time in our team.

- Ntcham doesn't cut it for me and I thought Ambrose showed what a number ten should be doing when he came on.

- Facey and Plummer look good on the ball and coming out of defence but don't look reliable defensively.

- Hard to judge Hiwula and Cole at this age.

- Both fullbacks were pretty decent.

Unlucky lads, bit more composure in the final third and we would have won it. Gutted for them.

I really hope Glendon turns into the player he looked like he could be tonight.

Having a City lad in the team would be brilliant.

Shame we lost but the signs are promising.

I just though in general Chelsea looked a like their senior side tonight with a heavy foreign influence and very few British lads involved, at least we put out a load of local lads in the game with some other British boys scattered in there.

I think it's good having some foreign talent in an academy but academy football should be about developing the local talent, it's part of the clubs duty to it's community to help the aspiring players in it's region to become footballers.

All the top PL clubs raid the foreign academies now, Baker, Swift, Palmer, Blackman, Brown were the Brits I think plus Feruz who is a Scotland youth international from a Somali refugee family.
