Football as we know it in this country is going to be smashed to pieces! These 6 clubs are a shambles and just proves this game is all about money to them! Void the league cup final Sunday!! Dock them all points and relegate them! No longer the working mans game!!!!!

Ta, whilst in principle a great idea, both teams are part of the breakaway so won't do anything and would be sued for millions if they pulled out. The football league would have to repay millions in TV money and to supporters so they won't do it either. Not going to happen.

Its just a refinement of the Chumps League with sides playing twice a week as they do now which is being proposed as I see it and has a long way to go till its a goer.

the reaction has been over the top IMO , lets as some say focus on April and May a lot to play for and I am sure the players won't be distracted as I am sure Manure won't be either.

Any slip up and very few will be concerned about next season or the season beyond.

Lets get the win against Villa that is all that matters presently its the most important game of our season to date.

We couldn't get our mojo going against Chelsea and Leeds and while the quadruple is gone we can still win 3 competitions including the two most important arguably.

Sunday is a big one for a number of reasons as well and Spurs go into the game without an appointed manager one would think so we have to take advantage of this as well.

Son isn't the same player without Harry in the side so we should be able to overcome them but first thing is first lets win against a side with nothing much to aim for and in ordinary form.

The reaction isn't over the top. This completely removes sporting merit from a "competition" which is nonsense. It's a money-motivated move and just devalues all other existing league/cup structures.

However, you are quite right in that we have a season to finish and need to concentrate on that for now. Three of the four CL semi finalists are supporting this ESL though. So who do you think UEFA might help win it?! PSG might as well be given the trophy now. No way UEFA are letting any of City, Chelsea or Real win the CL after they've publicly announced they'll boycott it moving forwards.
