So they’re getting a multi season punishment, which seems a bit off.

Think it’s because of the 3 games they admitted spying for.

2 were in the league, so 4 point deduction for those and 1 was in the play offs, which they were expelled from.

Don't know if it's already been said but if a club 'cheats' in a cup competition by fielding an illegible player they are nearly always removed from the cup and replaced by the team they bear.
At least this is consistent with that.

They'd argue they lost cos of the spying, if you say Southampton gained and advantage surely Boro lost one.

Ah thankfully I'm not the only one wondering about that point.
Is it really that difficult to set out the guidance for penalties in football based on where you are in the pyramid.
In any other business when you enter a contract the penalties for failure to comply are explicit. Thus, when you start a season, you are entering a contract to abide by the rules set out by the FA - failure to comply should be set out at this point

They raised the formal complaint before the game. They had to fulfil the fixture until the panel decided the punishment. They have still been cheated.

I've never liked Southampton they've always been a **** of a club and the people there aren't my favourite humans either, I believe they were utter cunts at the semi final. I saw one interviewed after the verdict was announced and we got the usual "What about City?" shite. Fucking forget us, your club fucking cheated and admitted it you ****!
It annoys me still Liverpool weren't hit more harshly for hacking us.

We settled that for mill between the clubs apparently. Should have taken them to the cleaners, reported to the league etc

Sky needs the "£200 million game" to sell subs. No way the EFL will tell them to fuck off, as the broadcasters pretty much control that league. Play the match, get Twatwell and another bent **** on VAR to make sure Hull win and all parties are happy except the smoggies.
