Messi has 1 goal and 1 assist already, and you know he has a great chance to be the difference making with the scores 2-2.

CRonaldo was the best player in the world while Messi was injured.

Why don't Barca buy a CB instead of persisting with Mascherano?

Because they can get away with it for most of the time. Masch has outperformed Pique of late (although that isn't saying much anymore). Ideally they need somebody like Puyol with fight in them, but they also need ball players in that position as well. They probably would have bought somebody last summer had they not paid all that money for Neymar. The summer previously Song was bought to play at both CDM and CB and hasn't impressed in either. Maybe they will throw money at one of the Brazilian defenders in the summer.

Only a matter of time before either them or Real come knocking for Kompany. He's too consistent to ignore.


Our toughest test in the next few years is keeping Kompany, Silva, Aguero and Toure. Crucial to our progress on the whole. Spurs just fell apart after selling both Modric and Bale.

This is the correct answer.
Messi is a proper team player and Ronaldo just isn't. I also would prefer Messi i my team was under the kosh and needed someone to lead and dig deep.
