Manchester City midfielder Elano has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Serie A champions Inter.

The Brazilian, who joined City in 2007 from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, had previously stated he wanted to remain at Eastlands despite being heavily linked with a summer move away.

But the 27-year-old, who has struggled for consistency since signing for the North West side, has performed a complete u-turn, and says he is keen to link up with Inter boss Jose Mourinho.

“I have a contract with Manchester City,” Elano told TMW. “But I hope the Nerazzurri do not see this as a constraint. I would wear the Inter shirt.”

And the principal attraction for a switch to Italy appears to be Inter and former Chelsea manager Mourinho.

“He is great,” Elano added. “His teams always leave their mark, and every player who has worked with him considers him a phenomenon.

“I hope my friend Julio Cesar can put in a good word for me.”

Anyone who previously had any sympathy for this man's complete lack of moral backbone must surely have now changed their mind.
 
Quality player no doubt about it, just wish he could keep his mouth shut. If he wants to go we should let him.
