Your on the "I have an opinion about a player" side. TBH, I think he should be in the side, but it's all about debate and opinions, adn as long as you don't jeer Vassell (or anyone in a blue shirt) I have no issue with you.
would never boo a player....mightcurse himunder my breath from time to time and shout abuse at the tv which is directed towards him...but never at a match
Spot on Simon. My faults could fill a phone book, but I have never a. booed or abused a player during a match (Lord, give me strength), or b. left a game early
EVER!
The abuse Darius took was out-fucking-rageous. I wouldn't mind if the abuse when he ballsed-up was matched by commendatory screaming when he did the business...
Here's another example: I don't care for Dunne, haven't for a long time, but he played REALLY well AND was geeing his mates up, he was vocal without yelling, his body-language was different, his attitude was changed, he even high-fived Garrido FFS...that alone, that little thing had me bolt-upright. Was any of that
really noticed?
Here's another: I love Sweep. I was fecking gutted when he left. When he came back a silver glistener stole from my right eye, I'll admit it...but for FFS this obsession with him as a right-winger is beyond me. Do I think he's a right-
winger? Hmmmm. Okay, sort of...but playing him in the middle drifting takes advantage of something NO ONE really talks about...he is SOLID, hard as nails. You've seen the chanllenges he takes without whining? You've seen the tackles he can put it? Yet all I hear is "Hughes is thick for playing him around the middle."
I hope Hughes plays him in the middle against the rags...we need players (right now) who will run right at them and invite the donkeys to hack at them. Crossing the ball in from wide to our front-line (designated or moving) will present no problems for Camel gob or the Partizan.
