Can barely remember even one thread? If he was/is so bloody wonderful then why wasn't there more outcry against the possibility of us losing him? Don't forget either...this was pre September 1.

Not saying this about all those who support Elano in this thread, but there IS anti Hughes agenda here with some.

I like Elano, and I think him a talented player. However, he was not part of the Managers plans these last few weeks and needs to get over it and BUCKLE DOWN.

Ok, I think i've got it.

Vassell's biggest, or main, weakness is that he's not a natural goalscorer.
However, having said that, he has scored some vital goals for us and is utterly fearless in the penalty area.
He also works his ass off for 95+ minutes on the football pitch and never shirks a tackle or feigns injury.

Elano's a gfted playmaker who has been known to spray accurate long distance passes around the pitch
His main weaknesses is he's poor in the tackle, doesn't like the rough stuff, and loses his head all too easily.

Our other three flair players, Robinho, Shaun Wright Philips, and Stephen Ireland, have all shown a willingness to work hard all over the pitch; 2 of them, at least, are pretty decent in the tackle; Ireland is as good, if not better, as most Premier League defenders.
All three have been known to bamboozle Premier League defences and score extravagant goals.

Elano has to learn to add one or two strings to his bow, like the three mentioned above: until he does that, there's nothing more to discuss.

You seem to be using Elano now as a stick to beat MH with. Not that you were even arsed about him six months ago.
