Elano

Funny that
I stopped counting after the first 5 awful passes he made in the second half.
At least he seems to have got Robinho in the mood, though.

And he did seem to put in more of a defensive shift.

I'd be inclined to give him a start at Blackburn, if only to keep Robinho 'up there', but he still needs to up his game.
Despite what the cheerleaders say

Elano was excellent today.

But what we need from him is consistency (which admittedly applies to all of the players)

When City are on top there are no better players than Elano and Robiniho than exploiting it. However what we need is a good performace at Ewood Park where City are likely to be harried all the time. If Elano does produce in such games then there will be no arguments about him being picked.

I thought he was much improved today. Lets hope it's not just his monthly sighting, and he turns up again against Blackburn...

His passing was simple and effective, he worked incredibly hard, and generally linked the play up very well.

Much was made of his perceived mauling by the press this week, but it clearly didn't effect his game in a negative way...

you hated him before the match!!!

2 faced much?!?!

Played very well today. Can't help but notice he still has this "billy big boots" attitude though.

F**k off you shit stirring tw*t ,he was magestic today coverd every blade and showed why he we should keep him in the side

When Elano's on form he brings out the best in most of the other players, his awareness and use of the ball is outstanding

First half he was brilliant, second half he was really good, last 15 minutes he let himself down a bit a made about 6 awful passes but you could see what he brings to the team, he has to start sunday

Just come back from the game thought the differance today was Elano, Robinho, big Phil and of course Ireland outstanding as useall

Do I think he's inconsistent? Yes.

Do I think he's been the cause of some of the unrest behind the scenes? Yes.

Do I think he played well today? Yes.

If you want to pick a fight with any of that, be my guest.
