Electric cars

Seen a second hand Polestar 2 near me for £27K with only 16K miles and am definitely tempted, never driven electric before so might at least go for a test drive.

Don’t know how a charger would work in a terrace house though, we do have a driveway but it’s round the corner from my house. Would definitely have to get the consent of the neighbours if I did go ahead with it.
I work with a lot of people who have EV because of the green car scheme at work, people who can charge at home are paying pennies to charge (like myself as I haven't paid more than £6 in a month), but my colleagues who charge at work are paying on average £20 a week, from a public charger you'll be looking at £40 a week, obviously depends on millage etc..

I've had my EV a full month now, so far it's only cost me £5.94 to charge it up at home (compared to about £90 for my old diesel Kuga), ive plugged it in every Monday night to charge it up. Personally I was against them, but now having one, I wouldn't want to go back to an ICE car.
Yeah my next car will be an EV. I'm gonna move back to a house (from an apartment) and get solar on the roof as well.

My friend 8 months ago got solar on his house, fair enough he paid 16 grand for it, but he hasn't had a leccy bill since and Octopus pay him about £50 a month, plus he charges his EV mini for free, im definitely looking into that formthe future.

Yep, no leccy or petrol bills

That's my aim.

at £6 per gallon of petrol or diesel thats 2,666 gallons at 50 mpg that 133, 300 miles before it costs more than the EV.

I'm seeing quite a lot posts on social media of small tow trucks getting tickets for being overweight when carrying EV's, some as much a 50% over the axle weight of the vehicle. I'm not sure people are aware of just how much heavier EV's are compared to their ICE variants. The wear and tear on the roads due to an increase in heavier vehicles is definitely going to be a problem in the near future.

Cars are generally a lot lighter here than in the us for example plus we don’t tend to have boats and RV’s being towed around regularly.
