Defensively doing perfectly fine. Still has issues with the ball at his feet but we knew that already. Him not dropping clangers is all we should be hoping for.
Thought he did a particularly good job using his pace to cover over behind otamendi when Zaha was taking Walker on for pace, just by taking up that space early it took away the option of trying to come inside at speed and instead forced him to slow down, stay outwide and generally get bullied by Walker

He has been fine defensively but he slows our build up play down and this is why he will lose his place to Stones now he is fit

I agree. What I saw today was a Palace side that had instructions to let Mangala have the ball, they certainly seemed to try and press Otamendi more, as they knew he was the danger passing out from the back.
Yeah I saw that too. He did fine defensively which is about all I can ask, but it’s obvious how far Palace dropped off when he received the ball.I agree. Been steadily better but is not the guy to be playing ticky tacky with at the back .-its like a hot potato at his feet.
