Personally I think that this lad deserves another crack of the whip. Ok he struggled in his first 2 seasons and then initially whilst out on loan but I think he would work in a back 3 in the same way that Otamendi has done. Maybe back under Pep's wing he can be given that second chance?

Most of those slagging him on here have got to remember one thing that his confidence was completely shot before he was shipped out on loan. Lets not forget he had a few good games in his first full season and having the other 2 and some proper full backs will give him the confidence he needs.

Kompany - Otamendi - Stones - Mangala - Tosin would be solid depth for the season, Pep continues to work with Mangala to get him more comfortable on the ball and improve his defending while focusing the money on a LB/DM/FWD.
