Anyone else think that the time this transfer is taking to conclude is actually working in our favour?
Once we seal this deal, without selling anyone it is game over in this transfer window. Whilst I think that the overall plan for this window was to bring in the players we have plus Mangala, the way the window is shaping up there could be one or two surprises. I mean it's almost certain that all of our targets were identified before the World Cup. However, before the tournament there was no way Madrid would have signed Rodriguez hence leaving Isco available.
Whilst we would still be in the same position when Mangala is announced, the fact we still technically have £32 million to spend puts us in a stronger position to negotiate potential deals.
