So he can play anywhere in the back four then I would imagine?

Expensive player but we could use someone who who can come in and play anywhere in defence.

I cant see us signing him unless we can swap javi garcia, or sell lescott this window but hes an up and coming french international defender so he going to be at least 20 million when you think that will only get a 29 year old baines whos not proven champions league or international level...

news now saying porto have decided not to sell as there is not enough time to find a replacement.city were willing to fly aplane to pick him up.not sure how true this is.

That article makes no sense, as Porto would have no choice on whether to retain him if we met his release clause, which they claim we would.

Most likely it was all made up from the start and L'Equipe are just slyly backtracking.

I thought we'd bid but not met his very high release clause? So they could refuse to sell... he reminds me a bit of gallas, good one for the future...
