Which is absolute testament to Vin. Says a lot about Nico as a footballer.

Think his problem could be the language. It's OK to learn a language but then have to convey your meaning in pressurised situations.
He needs someone alongside to take charge. Vinnie is ideal. Stones, well there's a communication breakdown straightaway. Have you
heard Barnsley ? ;-)

Sat in 107 every other week I know he isn't up to it. Stones neither. I'd honestly bring Mangala to back and stick him with VK. Neither Nico or John are at the level we require mate. Whoever signed the Stones transfer off wants sacking.
Stonesy will come good no worries.

Stones is class? I suggest you rewatch our home tie with Monaco pal
I appreciate you have an alternate opinion...Stones is basically everything in a footballer Guardiola needs. At 23 he's an unbelievable talent. He's had a few poor games sure but at least we're nurturing his talent. I'm afraid Mangala has no talent to nurture.

That seems pretty harsh!

I really want to see him get a chance under Pep. His passing wasn't that bad with Valencia this season, similar to what Kolarov's would've been if he was on that team. Having to buy a new CB every window is annoying and it would be great for Pep to iron out his issues to make him an even better player.

Whilst I don't think Mangala is half as bad as some on this site - I do think there are limits to Pep's time and abilities - getting Mangala to do what Pep requires would be quite a challenge, he's a strong lad but he's a very unnatural awkward footballer.

I'd be happy with him staying to see what he can learn in a year with Pep. He's had some good performances for us alongside the dross, and against top players and teams.

Hope we see him in the friendlies. If he's good we could save money on a CB and it may give us the extra few million to get other deals over the line quicker. If he's bad we are screwed in negotiating all our deals as everyone will know we have a panic situation to address at CB.

Please do well Mangala!

I think Pep has decided he wants players who fit his particular style and have abilities he can hone to that pattern.
Seemingly anything outside of his basic requirements is not wanted on voyage.

Some are slow learners and some cannot learn at all so whatever it is I feel he wants a better starting point for the team player he needs.
Pity really and hopefully he can find his niche but seems other teams are reluctant to sign him from City for whatever reason.

Agree he tends to play well against better teams and players. He raises his game but drops a few howlers against average.

I have to say there is a very good player in there somewhere and I would like to see him given a go. We only have 3 centre halfs and 1 suffers from injuries and the other two do lose form now and then, so I certainly would not want him going out on loan. Better here providing back up.
