Elliot Anderson | Opening bid rejected (p189)

Crying out for energy in midfield. Don't know if Bournemouth having the extra ten days helped but we couldn't get near them at times.

It probably did help them but regardless if hope much rest they have that 3 in our midfield are slow as it gets

Couldn't think of a worse side for City to play last night. They press and are rapid in transition , next season will be interesting as so many teams who have had a light work load this season will be playing twice a week and Arsenal won't be able to get away with an underdog tag.

Especially as we had 3 games in 6 days and one was the FA cup final.

My word we needed someone with his energy last night. They bossed us physically across the middle, without even having any massively physical players.

They are a very athletic side with some very good technical players. We always struggle against them the way they play they always seem as they have an extra player on the pitch as they are great at causing overloads.

Yeah was thinking the same. So many teams in Europe who aren't used to it and don't have the squad size to handle it.

There's a huge opportunity for the likes of Leeds, Everton - and Forest - to possibly snatch a CL spot even.

Just prefer a more stable season poss top 10 finish and would love us to win a domestic cup especially fa cup as not won it in my life time. I can't see Chelsea and Newcastle being as bad so see more opportunities for them 2 than the 3 you have mentioned. Think top 6 might look more familiar next season with the helping aid of officials.

He would be a welcome addition and is a fantastic player, but he alone won't be the answer to our issues in midfield. If he had been with us since January he'd be fecked, last night, too.

It's a yes from me, but who else?

Yes their energy on the press and in the middle was outstanding. How often were Rodri and Kovacic just caught on the ball thinking they had more time but always had 2/3 players snapping into them. Compare that to our press and they were worlds apart.
