Elliot Anderson

Who cares if he's £100milliion? He is a quality player, been really impressed the last couple years and seems to be improving still so his ceiling is unknown. Other teams don't seem to care about the money anymore funnily enough, let's go for it.

Errm no, he isn't good enough right now and we have a global recruitment network.

Laughable.

Phillips had been a Championship player with one half-decent season by the age of about 26.

Anderson keeps getting better and is younger. He does the lot.
It was tongue in cheek. I haven't seen much of Anderson to be honest, but wouldn't be rushing to spend anywhere near £100m on him after a good 4 or 5 months of form.

Fair enough, I missed the subtlety there!

I'd say it's more like a year, but I know what you mean. Feels a steady progression though and he keeps getting better. He can do the lot and he does seem to be teeing himself up for a move here. Fingers crossed we can sort something out.

Don't really see much difference between Rice and Anderson at 23 years old, so get him in imo. We did mess up not getting Rice. He's not a #6 but he would have been a great Gundogan replacement. Don't see any reason why Anderson can't be that guy.

At the age of 23, Rice had played about 130 PL games for a mid-table West Ham side, had around 25 caps for England, and had scored about 5-10 career goals. Having just turned 23, Anderson has played about 110 PL games for mid-table sides, has 6 caps for England, and has scored about 10 career goals.

By the start of next season he'll be on around 130 PL games with around 15 England caps. Definitely worth going for.

Worth a punt imo.

Not at £100 million though?
