I just checked Instagram - he doesn't follow the likes of the rags, arsenal, Liverpool etc but I could see he follows Newcastle, Bristol Rovers, Forest and....the mighty blues.

When he was 10 years old he'd have watched Aguero scoring the winner against QPR. Good chance he grew up liking us.

KDB fully established himself in the Bundesliga before he moved. Anderson playes for a side deep in relegation trouble for who is valued at an overly inflated fee and only moved in the summer. If he was any value he would still be at Newcastle.

The gap between 1st place and 2nd place is absolutely insane.
He's head and shoulders above everyone else — and on top of that, he’s English.

Only moved in the summer and is playing for a side in relegation trouble. Can do better if we are looking for more midfield signings. If anything Nico O'Reilly deserves a chance in midfield before Elliot Anderson. If desperate then try and revive Kalvin Phillips' career.

He moved last summer and was one of the key players in their run to the cup semi final and qualifying for Europe. He's been man of the match pretty much every time he's played for England, showing he can step up and previous posts have pointed out his stats this season.

I agree about O'Reilly in midfield, but we should be all over Anderson

Newcastle were in PSR trouble and had to sell a homegrown to maximize profit. They have a settled and very good mid 3 so Anderson was sold. If you ask them I'd bet they wished theyd kept him.

What if I said you could swap Phillips out of our squad for Anderson and he wouldn’t cost you a penny?
