He’s quality. 2nd time seeing him in the flesh yesterday. He’ll go to the top. Hope it’s with us. I see no way he leaves in Jan, more the summer.
Reminds me a bit of an english Barella
Not being clever, just checking- he would be correct? We need more English/ Homegrown players, especially with Stones and Ake on the way out.
Yes he would be, ex Newcastle now ForestNot being clever, just checking- he would be correct?
What was the reason?Yaya, Lampard, Vieira, Keane all streets ahead of him. I would have Fernandinho aahead of him as well. He has everything bar an ability to hold his position. Very similar player to Pogba.
There was a reason England couldn’t fit Lampard and Gerrard in the same team.
Throw in a big offer I sayHe’s quality. 2nd time seeing him in the flesh yesterday. He’ll go to the top. Hope it’s with us. I see no way he leaves in Jan, more the summer.
Not for me. Yaya was a colossus when at his peak but didn’t carry the other 10 players on his back every game for years.I think Yaya was a better central midfielder than Slippery G.
What was the reason?
miles better than Wharton in my opinionEnergy , high work rate , calm under pressure complete package. This comparison hasn’t been made yet but watching how he covered everywhere against us.
He reminded me of Kante, aggressive in a tackle won his duels and was everywhere. Exactly what we need in midfield.
With these new Pep Lijnders / Pep Tactics. That leaves the midfield exposed. It’s why I’m guessing we are going for Anderson over Wharton. Anderson has bundles of energy and a high work rate.
Yet the England coaches allowed them to play together 73 times? Winning more games than they did when both paired together?Gerrard couldn’t hold his position and as a consequence they couldn’t compliment each other.
That team with the talent they had were a massive failure and trying to get Scholes Gérard lampard Beckham and later Joe Cole into the midfield 4 was a big reason, that and taking 'stars' to tournaments when clearly not fit.Yet the England coaches allowed them to play together 73 times? Winning more games than they did when both paired together?
Huge let down given the talent we had, agreed mate. That team with the talent they had were a massive failure and trying to get Scholes Gérard lampard Beckham and later Joe Cole into the midfield 4 was a big reason, that and taking 'stars' to tournaments when clearly not fit.
They would compliment each other perfectly. Money notwithstanding, I'd do everything we can to bring both of them in. When English players come along that you can genuinely build a team around, we should be all over them. It saves us always walking the homegrown tightrope, where we're contemplating 60-odd million for average players because we need the numbers and only have homegrown spots left.miles better than Wharton in my opinion

We would have too many midfielders for that even to be a possibility, we will be needing to shift 2 players for that to happen. They would compliment each other perfectly. But yeah, if we can only bring one in, it has to be Anderson for me.
Never said not possible, I said highly unlikely which it is.Money talks.
Wealth whispers.
They are in a relegation scrap with a thin squad & their scorer out for weeks.
We have several players to trade, sell or loan.
Man has walked on the moon,so everything is possible until its not !!
