He’s quality and I really hope we sign him in the summer. It’s as simple as that. People will start with the Kalvin Phillips comparisons no doubt but this guy has so much more in his locker than him it’s incomparable. Couple of times yesterday where as a city fan I found myself applauding him keeping the ball in the middle and spreading an unbelievable pass out wide. He’s got so much bite and aggression about him too.

He’d be a great signing for us next year as a Kovacic replacement.

Was surprised to see he’s still only 23 also.

I never said he was… but, Gerrard whilst a good player wasn’t a complete midfielder and there have been numerous better midfielders in the PL era,, but it’s all about opinions.

I never said he was… but, Gerrard whilst a good player wasn’t a complete midfielder and there have been numerous better midfielders in the PL era,, but it’s all about opinions.

Personally think he was the quintessential complete midfielder, he scored goals, assisted, was extremely influential and also didn't mind putting it about either. Would have him in the Top 5 PL era midfielders.
