Elon Musk buys and ruins Twitter

Feels like a big shift, 'the benefits are now outweighed with the negatives'.

I know the Guardian stand to the left politically but for a company that still cares about the bottom line it's a pretty big move.

I've deleted the app from my phone now, I'll kill my account at some point soon.

I was flipping through videos to see how bad it had got and saw one that crossed the line ( there are plenty of really bad ones, this one just crossed it for me ).

what looked like a genuine torture video, A bloke hanging a few feet off the ground from his hands which were tied behind his back. while someone was using a petrol powered strimmer on his legs and back. I turned it off before I could see the damage levels but it must have been ripping skin off at least..

Loads and loads of violence lately, especially the Peado hunters - where they just say a guy is meeting a kid and beat the shit out of him - its pretty harrowing.

yeah I saw loads of that. fights all over the show, it showed me what I can only call assasination videos too where people were getting shot on the street too.

loads of "Jijadi joe in Berlin, been arresting 13 times and nothing can be done" shite too, and shows a video of a lad waving a Palistine flag and could be anywhere in the world.

Bluesky so far seems a good replacement for x for those interested. Not yet full of bots and ads. Similar layout and format to x and most of the big accounts I followed on x have moved over. X has pretty much turned itself into a local newspaper website.

Is there any public record of where he got the loans from to buy twitter?
Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Barclays, MUFG, Société Générale, Mizuho Bank, and BNP Paribas loaned him $12.5bn. The rest was from the sale of Tesla and other shares, other loans secured by Tesla stock and private investors.

From the bastion of truth that is the increasingly deranged Telegraph, quoting misinformation from a piece from Guido Fawkes.

Contained near the bottom of the article, "What you refer to as ‘therapy after Trump result’ is actually our employee assistance programme."
