Elon Musk

Any preferences - LI, LII, LIII - before/after Canada and Greenland?

He's deranged. This is why he bought Twitter. It's operating at a loss and will continue to do so, but it's his personal vehicle to spread anxiety and hate. Even the name X has nefarious connotations.

He and Trump will treat the next four years as one big game.

The worst thing is that both are treating as something that must be won - the idea that someone else can also win at the same time seems anathema.

My experience is that everyone I know who voted for Reform are actually really naive (stupid might be a better word).
They see fake news videos on Facebook and take them as gospel. They lack critical thinking skills.

Just yesterday, some kids set fire to an abandoned school near me. In our local facebook group there were tons of people (usually boomers who don't understand the internet), posting things like 'It'll be immigrants' or, 'they're trying to get rid of this building so they can build more hotels to house immigrants'.

They've fully been conned into thinking all our issues are linked to immigration... they're not. It's because the people telling them 'it's the immigrant's fault' are mugging everyone off and giving hundreds of millions of £s to their mates (pub landlords) rather than adequately funding our country.

When I was getting the tram to the Everton game a very old man fell face first on the platform. An ambulance was called and they were told 20 minutes. Someone on the tram (boomer) was telling anyone who would listen that ‘if they had said he was Muslim it would have been here in 10’.

It’s genuinely astounding how messed up their mind must be to direct such an incident to racism in the heat of the moment when an old man is struggling for consciousness on a concrete floor. Like, how do you even make that connection?

I do find that the boomer age group is particularly susceptible to social media brainwashing due to poor education and a late entry into the world of technology and social media in general.

I’ve seen my own father be totally brainwashed by social media the last 10 years or so. It got to the point where we were talking about football and he randomly, out of no where, started telling me the NHS were now paying £50 just to change a lightbulb, before the football conversation just carried on. It was like that Truman Show scene were Truman’s wife starts advertising a product in the middle of a conversation.

Elon Musk has privately discussed with allies how Sir Keir Starmer could be removed as UK prime minister before the next general election, according to people briefed on the matter.
Musk, the world's richest man and key confidant of US president-elect Donald Trump, is probing how he and his right-wing allies can destabilise the UK Labour government beyond the aggressive posts he has issued on his social media platform X, the people said.

"His view is that western civilisation itself is threatened," one of the people added.
Musk has sought information about whether it might be possible to build support for alternative British political movements — notably the rightwing populist Reform UK party — to force a change of prime minister before the next election, according to associates
Musk has been examining possible candidates to replace Farage as leader of the party, including Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe, and has probed what mechanisms there are to replace him, according to people briefed on his thinking.
Reform UK has been enjoying a surge in support in recent months, with opinion polls suggesting 22 per cent of the public back the party, up from 14 per cent at the time of the July election.

It certainly looks that way . All theatre, designed to distract .
2025 is gonna be a crazy year.

Even the name X has nefarious connotations.

Prior to the name change, some far-right users of what was then Twitter were readily identifiable by the use of a red 'X' in their handles to signal their belief that they were being shadow banned at the behest of 'the elite'.

It’s in my family, openly racist forgetting we have mixed race in the extended family.
“The NHS is filled with immigrants legal or otherwise taking up the beds they get the houses first and paid to do nothing”

I’m sick of people telling lies they just read online. It’s bad and I usually just say “you’ve been reading the daily Mail again”.That guilty look and it shuts them up

He’s on borrowed time didn’t Trump just dodge a bullet there’s only so much you can interfere with politics in the US he’s making to many enemies.
Any whiff of an attack on him I'm sure China will welcome him with open arms as they love the ****.
