Same I'd deleted twitter numerous times in the last 6 months and then reinstated but noticed a huge surge leaving for bluesky this week, some big accounts I like moving over which is great.
Seems fairly busy, I believe there has been a huge influx over there this week. Apparently the UK is one of the fastest countries abandoning Twitter.

I've deleted the app from my phone now, I'll kill my account at some point soon.
I was flipping through videos to see how bad it had got and saw one that crossed the line ( there are plenty of really bad ones, this one just crossed it for me ).
what looked like a genuine torture video, A bloke hanging a few feet off the ground from his hands which were tied behind his back. while someone was using a petrol powered strimmer on his legs and back. I turned it off before I could see the damage levels but it must have been ripping skin off at least..

I left twitter a long time ago. I've not been on blue-sky but might give it a go. To be honest it's great to just not have it as a distraction .

Musk doesn't care about Twitter - he bought it to use as a vehicle to get Trump elected and become his unelected right hand man - $44bn (now devalued by 70%) is cheap if you are exchanging it for a whole country with a GDP of $30tn
More than I thought. Most of the journalists, astronomers/astro physics, nature accounts that i followed on twitter are all there. I hope the football accounts will follow soon. Many City accounts are there.

yeah I saw loads of that. fights all over the show, it showed me what I can only call assasination videos too where people were getting shot on the street too.
loads of "Jijadi joe in Berlin, been arresting 13 times and nothing can be done" shite too, and shows a video of a lad waving a Palistine flag and could be anywhere in the world.

Bluesky so far seems a good replacement for x for those interested. Not yet full of bots and ads. Similar layout and format to x and most of the big accounts I followed on x have moved over. X has pretty much turned itself into a local newspaper website.

Just opened a Bluesky account ,hopefully there is a big shift to it,as not quite ready to leave X yet as I follow a lot of bands on it that aren't on Bluesky..
