It would seem the majority are - that's enough for me. We wait to see if the same applies to the British. I'm not so sure but I'm a little out of touch with the British psyche, tbh.

My straw poll is extremely limited. I, maybe naively, would like to hope that there are more good people out there than not but I find it hard to fathom how large swathes of populations seem to think these days.

I have a muppet at work who seems to have drunk the Kool-aid for years. Nothing, and I mean nothing Musk does is 'wrong', it's all 'brilliant' and factually correct.

For anyone who thinks DOGE has cut spending, this article is from July, and shows they've actually done <1% of the claimed 'savings' based on the data they published on their own website.

I don't think he stands much of a chance of getting the full package, the requirements are vast. raising Tesla value from what it is now at a little over a trillion to 8.5 trillion within a decade is a mammoth task and that's probably one of the easier requirements. That's just not achievable under normal, fair and lawful circumstances, he's going to have to do some real nefarious shit to achieve that, i have no doubt he'll give it a bloody good go though so buckle in for a much worse version of Musk than we've ever seen.
