Elton John

There's no denying "Your Song" is very, very good but I can't recall anything else he has done that I like.

As a person (and only based on what I have read) he seems like a needy, diva-esque, contemptible and nasty piece of work.

Liked his music. Bernie Taupin made him with some classic song writing, when they split he should have retired.

Not a huge fan until I bought a box set of his first five albums from Amazon. Only a couple of the hits on them but boy, what a great collection of songs. From a time when albums were albums and meant to flow and have a distinctive feel. Highly recommended, but he is a tit!

I'm not a big fan but bought Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on release and have always considered that a classic and got that on cd a few years back.

Couple of years back, on a whim, I bought a batch of his early albums on cd at a second hand record store and ended up adding most of his 70's stuff to my collection; mostly second hand but I did buy the deluxe Capt Fantastic new. Have to say there's an awful lot of good songs on those albums.

Sad to hear he has gone blind , he has confirmed it . Says he loves hearing the crowds and the songs still . Just watching him with dua lipa , man is a legend

Always thought there was something amiss with his eyesight when he turned out in some of those outfits and the specs obviously. He should just get on with life as normal - doesn't stop Stevie wonder playing the piano and singing.
