So the 'sensible' choices rest with the following;

James (Portsmouth) - He is a cert (barring injury.....again!) to play for his club at Wembly and enjoy a relatively stress free end to the season, why would he come to us for 3 games and possibly ruin his end-of-the-season. Money apart (and thats a big issue i know) wtf would Pompey allow it? Also i am sure that there is a rule that you cannot play for 3 clubs in one season and this technicallity could apply here?

I hope its not Fulop, not enough premier league/big game experience. He might be the best of a bad bunch available though. Don't get me wrong if we get him he gets 100% support and that goes for whoever we end up with or Gunnar if he gets the nod.

I can only presume he means playing for Pompey, then us, then back to Pompey again for the cup final, technically he has played for 3 clubs then. Other than that i'm with you, I don't get it.

Yes technically '3' clubs and its stretching it I know, but its City after all, so the FA and its cronies will not be looking to do us any favours here!!
