Emery Sacked

It'll be interesting to see what happens in summer as I believe Arteta will need to make a career decision to move on from being a #2
Might depend on whether Pep and Khaldoon confirm he is #1 for the 21/22 season or not.

IMHO, he looks more like a #2 to me...more player development coach than Boss.

Obviously, I haven’t seen him, or really ever heard much from him, but he doesn’t come across as top man material from what I’ve seen.

Would surprise me if Pep publicly confirmed it was his last season rather than ride out his contract - would seem a subtle difference but not publicly weighing in on it would prevent him from the dead man walking scenario which no coach likes to operate in

If I had to guess, either privately Arteta would be told he would assume from Pep or Mikel will move on - I suspect latter but probably depends greatly on where Arteta would prefer to be

Expected this to be honest, every time I have seen him interviewed he doesn't fill me with confidence and the gooner fans must have felt the same. Whatever happens though they are playing catch up and whoever they employ wont get them out of this fix any day soon.

I quite liked him. Anyone who makes subs at half time when it’s going wrong gets a thumbs up from me

The players there are awful and have been phoning it in for years. I’m sure they’ll run around a bit more at the weekend but then return to type in a week or two

The Wolves manager would be mad to go there as would Arteta. But from where I’m looking it doesn’t really matter - they’ve and average team and the board don’t appear to have an appetite to spend the money to sort it out
