Yes moved to the States 4 and a half years ago..... love it - apart from the health care all is well. Sat on the balcony. bottle of wine looking up periodically at the small lake to see if I can spot the alligator

I've thought about it a bit. My work and education is online so I could live on the ISS and still make a living. The missus is much more tied down though We're thinking after my Mum dies we might try Scandinavia or South Africa as we've got good places to stay and potential employment in both.

Sweden, Portugal and now 13 years in Switzerland.

Off to Oz in 2020. Mrs hc is a pig stealer and can't wait to go back. I worry about trivial things like getting a job/money but she'll divorce the fuck out of me if I back out now so might as well go for it!

I'd do it tomorrow if I it was viable. Unfortunately my profession isn't on the shortage list any longer, it was not so long ago, so getting the visa in the first place and then finding work with a young family isn't really an option for now. A lad I know is going out to Aus shortly and I really hope it works out for him, although I can't see why it wouldn't.
